Tripcart has integrated with the HBL payment gateway, allowing users to book trips using HBL Bank. Himalayan Bank Payment Gateway allows you to accept the tour payments via one of the leading banks in Nepal, Himalayan Bank.
Himalayan Bank Payment Gateway works in Nepal with Nepali and US currency only. It incorporates Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Union Pay cards. To configure HBL Bank on Tripcart, you will need to add different API keys and IDs. Follow the steps below to complete the integration.
Steps to Configure HBL Bank #
Navigate to Payment Gateways: #
- Go to the Dashboard > Apps.
- Select Payment Gateways.
Enable HBL Bank Payment Gateway: #
- Find the HBL Bank payment gateway in the list.
- Toggle the switch to enable the HBL Bank payment gateway. This will make the HBL Bank option appear on the checkout page.
Configure HBL Bank: #
- Click on the Configure button next to the HBL Bank payment gateway.
- You will be prompted to add the Payment Label, API key, Office ID, Encryption Key ID, Merchant Signing Private Key, Merchant Decryption Private Key, Paco Signing Public Key, and Paco Encryption Public Key Secret Key. (You will need to contact the bank to get these IDs)
For generating these keys, you will first need to follow the below steps:
- Generate 2 RSA key pairs using any available tool. For example, https://www.devglan.com/online-tools/rsa-encryption-decryption will generate ready to use RSA key pairs.
- The RSA key size must be 4096 bit.
- You will have to generate 2 pairs of public and private keys.
- Among the generated pairs of keys, provide the two public keys to the bank/service provider, one for signing and one for encryption. You will also receive API key from there.
- Save private keys under HBL Payment Settings inside the Merchant Signing Private Key and Merchant Decryption Private Key field.
- Enter the PACO Signing Public Key and PACO Encryption Public Key. You will need to contact the bank to get these keys.
- Keep the Notification URLs in their default values.
- Finally, click on Save & Continue.
Save Credentials:
- Once you have obtained all these keys, enter them in the respective fields on the Tripcart configuration page.
- Click Save Credentials to save the information.
