How to Define Pricing Categories for Tours

The Pricing Category feature in Tripcart allows tour operators to create and manage different price categories based on customer types, such as adults, children, seniors, or any custom category. This helps in structuring tour pricing effectively and ensuring that travelers are charged appropriately based on their age group or other criteria.

Accessing the Pricing Category Settings #

1. Log in to your Tripcart admin dashboard.
2. In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Tour Settings.
3. Click on Price Category to open the pricing category management interface.

Managing Pricing Categories #

Adding a New Price Category #

1. There are two default Price Categories that are Adult and Child. You can enable or disable the toggle to use the these default categories.
2. Click the + Add Price Category button.
3. A new row will appear in the category list.
4. Enter the Category Name (e.g., Senior, Infant, Student, etc.).
5. Specify the Age Group (e.g., 0-17 for children, 18-60 for adults).
6. Optionally, add a Tooltip Description to provide additional information.
7. Toggle the Action switch to enable or disable the pricing category.
8. You can also choose to enable or disable Accommodation for specific pricing categories.
   • For example, if you’ve added “Child” as a pricing category but plan to have the child stay in the same room as the parents, you can simply disable the accommodation option for the child category.
